Cat Domestic Health Problem
Cats are lovely, small animals liked by many people. These animals belong to ferocious tiger family, but these are timid little animals, the children`s like to play with. Vomiting
Of all the health problems the digestive problem [vomiting] is very common cat domestic health problem. In case of cats the vomiting can suddenly become life threatening if untreated for more than 24 hours. Hence one should waste no time in seeking the help of the veterinarian in case his loved cat is vomiting.
By and large the cats are very careful about their food. Few cats only when they are very hungry, eat anything that is offered that too hurriedly. Such cats are sure to get the digestive disturbances. The food that is undigested will be regurgitated soon. If this kind of thing is noticed then the cat should not be given any food for next half an hour or so. There after the food must be given to the cat in smaller quantities till the condition improves.
Diarrhea
This is one of the cat domestic health problems. Diarrhea noticed in a cat for a day or two won`t be of any serious concern. More so if the cat is alert in spite of diarrhea and also eating properly, then there is no need for worry. The food that is provided to the cat can be normal in quality and quantity. But the food must be divided in to four or five servings in a day.
The cat can be given one cup of rice cooked mixed with cottage cheese. The liquid portion of the cottage cheese must be removed from it by squeezing. Instead of rice cooked potato can also be used. There is also prescription diet called feline ID, which can be given to the cat. In spite of all these, if the diarrhea still persists then one must get the help of the veterinarian.
Eye problems
These are the other common cat domestic health problem. Any kind of eye problem needs immediate attention. The toenails of the cat are sharp and the cats scratch the eye of the other cat, when they get in to fight. These scratches must be treated at once otherwise these mild scratches of the eye will become eye ulcers in no time. In summer time some cats suddenly start squinting. The presence of foxtail may be the reason which needs immediate removal.
