Common Cat Ear Health Issues

Even if the ear mite is spotted in one ear of the animal, both ears requires treatment as these mites can reach the other ear by traveling over the head very quickly.

This is because the life cycle of the ear mite is for three weeks. The eggs will become the adult mite in about 21 days. If the treatment is continued for three weeks, even the eggs also can be destroyed.
Mullein mix -
This mix is very effective in protecting the cat ear health. The things that are required are mullein flowers, crock-pot and olive oil. The mullein flowers are placed in the crock-pot which is then covered with olive oil. The crock-pot is heated on low flame for about 6 hours. The contents are then cooled and strained. Then the contents are poured in to a glass jar, which is stored in the refrigerator for about one month. At the time of use, the contents are warmed to the body temperature and applied directly in to the ear by means of eardrops.
