As a proud pet owner one will like to have his pussy free from any kind of problems. But in reality the cats do face so many disease problems just like human beings. There are certain health tips to follow. If that is done then the cats can live longer and make the pet owner happy. Let us discuss them one by one.
Annual medical check up
This is very important. Subject the cat to thorough medical check up every year with out fain in a reputed vet clinic. The digestive system, respiratory system, circulatory system, urinary system, reproductive system, nervous system etc of the cat must be examined for its functioning ability. Simply speaking the cat must be examined from nose to tail. Usually for this purpose the blood, stools and urine are collected from the cat.
Vaccination
This we can say the most important thing as far as cat health is concerned. These vaccines will protect the cats from deadly dangerous viral infections. There is no cure for the viral infection hence prevention is the only way to escape. The vaccination schedule must be strictly as per the advice of the veterinarian. The vaccines must be purchased from highly reputed companies otherwise the vaccine itself can trigger the disease.
Excessive licking
There are numerous reasons for the excessive licking such as food allergies, stress etc. The first thing one has to do is that he need to take the cat to the vet to find out whether the licking is due to health reasons or just a behavioral problem. In case the excessive licking is due to food allergy then the food or the food ingredient must be changed at once. For example the corn is allergic to most cats.
Hairball control
This hairball problem is noticed more in longhaired cats. The main reason for the hairball is the presence of too much hair in the stomach of the cat as the result of his or her own grooming. To prevent the hairballs one need to brush the cat on daily basis. In case this problem persists still, then the cat must be taken to the vet for consultation.
Ear mite
These are the insects that are found in the ear of the cats. These ear mites spoil the health of the cat as they feed on the cat??™s blood. These ear mites are highly contagious hence need immediate treatment. The cat can be seen scratching the ear because of the irritation. One can notice the presence of wax [dark brown] in the ear. One need to take the cat to the nearby vet clinic immediately before it spreads to the other pet animals.
