This may infect the wound in case the water is contaminated. The incision heals faster if left dry. When the incision becomes dirty, you can flush the incision with saline water. Never think of bathing the cat for at least one week.

The male cats health monitoring is relatively simple because there is no suture. In case of female cats though the sutures are buried, they require attention.
