Your Cat Health Care
Can health care is easy to monitor because one can assess the health of the cat very easily. But the person must be aware of the normal behavior of the cat, threadbare. Healthy cat will have normal weight, normal behavior, normal activity etc. in case one notices any significant change any one of the things mentioned above, then it is the warning sign.
Checking the weight of the cat is important as far as feline health care is concerned. Weighing the cat is quite simple. There is no need to go anywhere; just the bathroom scale is sufficient. It is understandable that making the cat sit on the scale till the weights are recorded is difficult. There is a simple way out for this. One has to hold the cat in hand and record the weight in the bathroom scale. Then leave the cat and record the weight again on the same scale. The difference in the weight recorded is the weight of the cat.
In case there is no bathroom scale available in the house, then one can modify the kitchen scale a bit and use the same for recording the weight of the cat. While doing so when there is change in the weight, I mean the loss in weight, and then one can conclude that the cat is sick.
There are so many diseases that affect the cats. Some of them are bacterial infection, some of them are viral infection and some of them are fungal infections. There can be parasite infestation, congenital abnormality, metabolic diseases and many more diseases. In all the above-mentioned condition weight loss can be noticed.
The medicines that are used by the humans are being used for treating the cats also. This includes both non-prescription and prescription drugs such as lasix, Phenobarbital, cold medicines, antibiotic like amoxicillin etc. many will say one should not give human medications to the cats. It really means that the medications should be given to the cats after consulting the veterinarian or as per the recommendation of the veterinarian.
As far as the physiological reactions are concerned there`re no big difference between the human beings and the cats. But there is an exception is there that is aspirin. The human beings very commonly use aspirin but the same medication is deadly for the cats. Hence aspirin should never be included in the cat health care program.
Cat health care is easy and simple if the cat owner or the caretaker is sincere and is really concerned about the cat health. If the food that is provided is nutritious, the surrounding is kept clean, the vaccines are administered at proper time and proper route and the cats are given adequate exercise then there is hardly any chance for the cat to get its health spoiled.
